Using Facebook Groups for Suggestions and Feedback
Facebook groups may be highly beneficial to any company or brand, but they are frequently underutilized. One of the major benefits of a Facebook group is that it allows for a degree of interaction and intimacy that is sometimes lacking on Facebook pages. This is a great way to get people interested in your business and community by bringing individuals together who are like-minded and have similar interests.

However, it can also be a fantastic way to obtain feedback and information. In a lot of respects, that's the ideal business model.

Many businesses mistakenly regard social media – and the internet as a whole – as a platform, a pedestal, or even a megaphone. They see this as a method to scream their message to the rest of the world. This is logical, given that traditional marketing has operated in this manner for many years.

In reality, the most effective use of the internet in marketing is about what you get back as much as it is about what you put out. It's all about involving the audience in the creative process, which increases their investment and makes them feel like they're a part of something.

If you maintain a blog, you may have spent several years providing content to it only to discover that no one is reading or sharing it. Instead, why not ask your Facebook group what kind of content they'd want to see? If they tell you, you can nearly assure that they will want to read at least some of the information. They will, more than likely, be reflective of a much larger audience that will love the content as well.

The same can be said for a product. Simply ask your customers what product they would be enthusiastic about, and then create it. It's a risk-free business strategy! You've not only created something for which you KNOW there is an audience, but you've also made that audience feel more invested because of their part in making it happen.

There are a slew of different methods to use a Facebook group to gather data. You can use it to find out how your audience discovered your brand, for example, or to learn more about your competition. In any case, many businesses spend tens of thousands of dollars on this. You can have it all for free with a Facebook group!
